Erica Eyres
Erica Eyres is a Canadian-born artist based in Glasgow. Eyres’s videos, drawings and sculptures feature a cast of tragi-comic characters through which she reveals the absurdity and extremism of contemporary conceptions of beauty, identity, and sexuality. Recent solo exhibitions include Fette's Gallery, Los Angeles, USA (2007); Kunsthaus Erfurt, Erfurt, Germany (2007); I Love You But I Hate You, Centre for Contemporary Art, Glasgow (2006); Forever and Ever and Ever and Ever and Ever, G+ Galleries, Toronto (2006); and It's For the Best, Dwarf Gallery Reykjavik (2004).
