Shelly Nadashi is an Israeli-born artist based in Glasgow. Her practice is based in multi- disciplinary activity; she has experience and practical knowledge both as a performer, puppeteer and visual artist, and tends to use a variety of mediums to carry out her artistic ideas, including live performance, video, sound, text, drawing and puppet-making. Nadashi is currently working towards an MFA at The Glasgow School of Art (2007-present). She completed her undergraduate education at The School of Visual Theatre, Jerusalem (2002-2005). Recent live performances include Arrow in the Eye, Glasgow International Festival (2008); Death and the Rat, The Madgeburg Puppetry Festival, Germany (2005), Trio (in participation with Maya Levi), The School of Visual Theatre, Jerusalem (2004); Aufwiedersehen Levi Family, The International Puppetry Festival, Jerusalem (2004) and Me Sheep, The School of Visual Theatre, Jerusalem (2004). Recent solo exhibitions include My Four Seasons, The Jerusalem Artist House Gallery, Jerusalem (2006). Her works have been presented in numerous group exhibitions, including Glasgow International Festival, Apple Store (2008); Centre for Contemporary Art, Glasgow (2008); The Royal Scottish Academy, National Gallery of Scotland, Edinburgh (2008); Centre for Contemporary Art, Glasgow (2007); Uganda, Jerusalem (2007); The School for Visual Theatre, Jerusalem (2005).
