To coincide with his first solo show and newly commissioned work at the Collective Gallery, Matt Stokes' off-site performance 'Sacred Selections' in St Giles' Cathedral is a pipe organ recital featuring experimental transcriptions of underground music; Northern Soul, Happy Hardcore and Black Metal. The performance in Edinburgh will offer the unique opportunity to hear the complete repertoire of music in the series for the first time.

Originally established as an artist run space in 1984 the Collective has developed into an independent, publicly funded exhibition, commissioning and development agency. We aim to support emergent Scottish contemporary art and artists within the context of an international programme.
