When faced with the monotonous trauma of another day, sometimes it can take all your energy to (in the words of Curtis Mayfield) keep on keeping on.

For the Annuale, Smith will hang small, cardboard signs in the office windows of Edinburgh charities that help people cope - making visible a little network of effort.
